Boat tours

Numerous boat excursions to the Slovenian and Croatian Istria, and to Venice are a special experience. The ferry line will take you from Portorož along the Slovenian coast, all the way to Ankaran and back. A special glass boat will take you on a sight-seeing tour of the under sea world in the Piran bay, whereas catamarans sail several days a week to Venice , Rovinj, and Brioni, taking you on an unforgettable journey. You can also visit the salinas and their museum – it will take you just a couple of hours – whereas sea food fans can enjoy a fish picnic on a boat.

Sečovlje solinas' landscape park

An interesting experience is a visit to the landscape park of the salinas in Sečovlje, with its rare bird and plant species, and a museum.

The slovenian coast

The botanic garden and Forma viva above Portorož invite all those who fancy a rest in a natural environment. Further along the coast lie Piran, Izola and Koper, colourful Mediterranean towns with a rich cultural heritage. In the hinterland, there are the old Istrian villages of Korte, Koštabona, Krkavče, Grožnjan, offering traditional Istrian food specialties, wine, and olive oil.

The visit to the renowned caves of Postojna and Škocjan is only one hour's ride away, and the same is true for the Kobilarna Lipica horse farm and riding school .
